Welcome to Scrap Vahan (“Company”, “We”, “Our”, “Us”). By accessing our website, submitting vehicle details, purchasing products, selling vehicles, or using our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. About Scrap Vahan
Scrap Vahan is a vehicle assistance platform providing:
- Vehicle scrapping assistance
- Vehicle valuation services
- Vehicle pickup coordination
- Certificate of Deposit (COD) assistance
- Used vehicle purchase assistance
- Auto spare parts sales
- Insurance and finance assistance
- New vehicle assistance services
Scrap Vahan may work with authorized Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facilities (RVSF), dealers, recyclers, transporters, and service partners.
VEHICLE SCRAPPING TERMS
2. Vehicle Ownership
The seller confirms that:
- They are the legal owner of the vehicle.
- Vehicle details provided are accurate.
- Vehicle is free from legal disputes unless disclosed.
- Vehicle documents submitted are genuine.
Any false declaration may result in cancellation of the transaction.
3. Vehicle Inspection
Vehicle valuation is based on:
- Vehicle condition
- Age
- Weight
- Scrap metal market rates
- Availability of reusable components
Final value may vary after physical inspection by the authorized facility.
4. Vehicle Pickup
Vehicle pickup may be arranged through:
- Authorized RVSF
- Approved logistics partners
- Authorized transporters
Pickup timelines may vary based on location and availability.
5. Certificate of Deposit (COD)
Where applicable:
- COD will be issued by the authorized RVSF.
- COD issuance is subject to government rules and verification.
- Scrap Vahan does not guarantee issuance where eligibility requirements are not fulfilled.
6. Vehicle Deregistration
Vehicle deregistration and scrapping procedures shall be governed by applicable Motor Vehicle laws and MoRTH regulations.
The vehicle owner is responsible for providing all required documents.
USED VEHICLE PURCHASE TERMS
7. Purchase of Used Vehicles
Scrap Vahan may purchase used vehicles directly or through partner networks.
The seller must provide:
- RC Certificate
- Identity Proof
- Address Proof
- Valid transfer documents
- NOC (where applicable)
8. Payment Terms
Payment may be made through:
- Bank Transfer
- UPI
- Cheque
- Other approved methods
Payment timelines may vary depending on verification requirements.
9. Vehicle Transfer Responsibility
The seller must cooperate in transfer formalities.
Any undisclosed legal, financial, or criminal liability attached to the vehicle shall remain the responsibility of the seller.
AUTO PARTS SALES TERMS
10. Spare Parts Availability
Spare parts sold by Scrap Vahan may include:
- Recycled components
- Refurbished components
- OEM parts
- Aftermarket parts
Product descriptions shall indicate the category wherever applicable.
11. Product Condition
Used or refurbished parts may show:
- Cosmetic wear
- Minor scratches
- Signs of previous use
Customers are advised to verify compatibility before purchase.
12. No Unauthorized Modification
Customers must not:
- Alter safety components
- Tamper with serial numbers
- Use parts for unlawful activities
13. Product Installation
Installation shall be the customer’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed.
Scrap Vahan shall not be liable for damages caused by improper installation.
RETURN & WARRANTY POLICY
14. Spare Parts Return
Returns may be accepted only when:
- Incorrect product delivered
- Product damaged during delivery
- Product materially different from description
Return requests must be raised within 7 days of delivery.
15. Warranty
Unless specifically stated:
- Used parts are sold on an “As-Is” basis.
- No warranty is provided on scrap materials.
- Warranty terms for refurbished parts shall be specified individually.
LIABILITY LIMITATION
16. Limitation of Liability
Scrap Vahan shall not be liable for:
- Indirect losses
- Loss of business
- Loss of profits
- Vehicle valuation fluctuations
- Government policy changes
- Delays caused by third parties
Maximum liability shall not exceed the transaction value paid to Scrap Vahan.
COMPLIANCE
17. Regulatory Compliance
All vehicle scrapping activities shall be subject to:
- Motor Vehicles Act, 1988
- Vehicle Scrapping Policy issued by MoRTH
- Applicable State Transport Authority regulations
- Environmental and recycling regulations
Scrap Vahan reserves the right to refuse any transaction that violates applicable laws.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
18. Website Content
All logos, trademarks, content, graphics, and materials displayed on the website belong to Scrap Vahan unless otherwise stated.
Unauthorized use is prohibited.
PRIVACY
19. Data Protection
Customer information shall be processed in accordance with the Scrap Vahan Privacy Policy.
GOVERNING LAW
20. Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of India.
Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of competent courts in Delhi NCR, India.
